Regent Street Methodist is a warm, welcoming, family friendly church in the heart of the thriving market town of Newtownards. We can be accessed from Regent Street but the more convenient entrance is from our free car park on Mill Street.
The main gathering time for the whole Church family is on Sunday morning at 10.45am. This normally takes about 70 minutes although Communion Sundays (the first Sunday in each month) tend to take a bit longer.
Our Society Steward Mary Mulligan gives notices and announcements. We are blessed by three praise bands who take turns to lead congregational singing. We feel that every member is important and recognise that there are different worship preferences. This blend of styles is represented with the first part of the service more youth orientated and the second part a little more traditional in style. Prayer ministry is available after the service; as is tea and coffee. This is a chance to renew old friendships or make new friends.
There is something for everyone through the week with a wide range of fellowship groups, youth ministries and social gatherings. I am more than happy to advise on the most suitable organisation for your needs, or for your family’s needs.
We also have a full-time Youth Pastor, Laura Ewing. She has been with us since 2003 and has an excellent track record of making disciples of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. It is He whom we seek to honour and regular mission teams go from the Church to developing countries. We aim in all that we do to “Know God’s love, and to share it with others”.
